Owaboda relies on precise location data to provide its core ride-hailing services. Location data is collected continuously in the foreground when the app is open and during an active trip. We do not collect background location data without your explicit consent.

Location data is used to match you with nearby drivers, calculate fares, enable real-time trip tracking, and improve route quality. You may disable location access through your device settings, but doing so will prevent you from using the app's core features.

We retain your personal data for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide you services:

  • Account data is retained while your account remains open and for up to 3 years after account closure
  • Trip records and payment data are retained for 7 years for legal and accounting purposes
